4.3 Survey Sampling Methods
When surveying any group of consumers, it will almost always be impossible to query every single member of the group. Therefore, researchers compromise by using a sample of a population. Sampling techniques can be divided into two types: probability sampling and non-probability sampling. Probability sampling relies on random sampling techniques while non-probability sampling relies on a non-random process like convenience sampling.
