1. Exploring Data
Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) is the process of examining, summarizing, and visualizing a dataset in order to better understand the information that it contains.
Even for hardcore data scientists who work with incredibly complex models, EDA still forms the backbone of everything else that they do. EDA is a descriptive analytics task.
This chapter will focus primarily on summary statistics, and on some other fundamental data science concepts, whereas Chapter 2 will emphasize data visualization.
